Literature Text
Born to a body you'll never love
As imperfections often taint it
A rebel of nature, a rebel of gender
Your first glance at the world's cruelty.
You clench your fist in hesitation
Cringing every time you hear the words
You bite your tongue in rushing fear
Oh how you want to correct them.
Your heart receives a painful lash
As you hear that dreadful title
You have no choice but to respond in weakness
As you make your presence known.
Tears threaten to pour over
As you are reminded of your faults
"But you're a girl", they say
"Boys don't cry", they argue.
You want to scream and shout
You want to claw off your outsides
But when the sun rises once more
You sigh in great defeat.
As imperfections often taint it

Your first glance at the world's cruelty.

Oh how you want to correct them.

the other way
i'm not a girl.
i'm not a she
or a her
or a miss
or a ma'am.
i'm just a guy
who generally looks
the other way
when those mistakes are made.
i'm just a guy
who pretends not to hear.
he pretends to zone off when
his friends call him girl
and look at him to make sure
he didn't notice.
i'm just a guy
who hears all
but says very little.
Literature
Prison
These breasts are like weights against me.
The empty space between my legs is like starvation.
This body I'm in,
It's like a prison, a cage.
In my past life,
was I sinner?
Why am I imprisoned in a state I don't want to be?
Is this some sick prank that the gods are playing on us?
Literature
The one I'm supposed to be
I'm supposed to be a girl,
A girl supposed to be by my heart and my soul,
But my body doesn't represent me,
My body isn't me.
I'm supposed to be a guy,
A guy supposed by my family and society,
Supposed to live happily in a body that's not mine.
I'm not a guy.
Will they understand?

Yes, it's very fail, but I felt that making it rhyme would take away from the emotion so I attempted free verse.
Which I haven't done in a while.
So, anyway, enjoy?
